Come rain or shine, ACTOM employees don’t miss the opportunity to celebrate Heritage Day.
This year, however, on Thursday September 23 – the day before the Heritage Day public holiday – the celebrations were muted compared with the previous years, thanks to the continued COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings.
In most cases therefore many employees – who in more favourable circumstances would’ve organised a special celebratory lunch on the day, swopped stories with each other about their respective cultures and even sang and danced – had to be satisfied with just attending work in their traditional dress. But this still amounted to a celebration to mark the occasion.
